Board Members

The board members help keep our 501(c) status, they help make decisions for the club and school, and keep fundraising on target.
The club must have a President, Secretary and Treasurer to maintain 501(c) status.

President

Presides over board meetings and interfaces with school principal and teachers.  Serves as “chairman” of the Board of Directors and has signing authority on the Parent Club bank account.  Responsible for appointing committees and chairs for events, as needed.  Helps assume other roles as needed, to keep the club running smoothly; not limited to Secretary, Treasurer, PR Coordinator, Hospitality Coordinator and Classroom Liaison Coordinator. ​

​​​Secretary

Records and maintains the minutes from all meetings of the Board of Directors and general membership and keeps all records of the organization (including binders for event chairpersons).  Responsible for all direct communication to the membership, including sending out of ballots for the election of new Board members.
Public Relations Coordinator
Coordinates the advertising and promotion of the Parent Club and its activities including the social media, website, school wide emails, flyers, auto-dialer, and marquis
Classroom Liaison Coordinator
Classroom Liaisons for each classroom teacher.  Serves as the hub of communications between the Parent Club and individual Classroom Liaison to collect volunteers or donations as needed from all parents within an individual classroom.

Vice President

Assumes the duties of the President in their absence.  Types up agendas for monthly Board and general membership meetings.  Generates fundraising ideas for the club to pontificate. ​

Treasurer

Liaison between board and bookkeeping services.  Creates a monthly Treasurer’s report that accounts for all income and expenses during that month based on reporting of bookkeeper, and presents this report at each membership meeting.  Has signing authority on the bank account and insures that all checks written have the 2 signatures required.  Provides the necessary financial information to the Parent Club’s tax preparer and bookkeeper in a timely fashion. Provides cash to stock cash boxes for events and helping to reconcile and deposit monies earned at events or fundraisers.
Hospitality Coordinator
Coordinates donations of food and beverages and makes purchases (using Parent Club money) as needed to provide for the Teacher and Staff appreciation luncheons.  Coordinates food and beverages for large events, e.g. Fall Festival.
All roles are active voting members, with veto rights.  All roles are subject to background checks.
